It’s Seattle!

We learned today that the west coast stopover will be in the Pacific Northwest in Seattle. The boats will arrive there after crossing the Pacific in mid April of 2016 and be berthed at the Bell Harbor Marina.

From there the fleet will embark on the US Coast-to-Coast leg 7, which includes a transit through the Panama Canal before arriving in New York City.

Hopefully I will be able to visit the boats in Seattle, a city I’ve traveled to for work a number of times. It’s of course the location of the first Starbucks ever… for those of us who like to drink coffee. Plenty of nice restaurants and lots to see, so this should be an exciting stopover.
